Biography
Ruth Williams practises as a Jungian Psychoanalyst and Psychotherapist both online (nationally and internationally) and from her consulting room in London E14 (close to Canary Wharf, which is on the Jubilee Line and Docklands Light Railway). The consulting room is in a quiet private environment where we will not be disturbed.
Ruth works with people from all corners of the world online.
She works with adults and couples as a Psychotherapist and Analyst, as well as being a Supervisor and Consultant to fellow professionals. Ruth teaches on a number of analytic and psychotherapeutic trainings.
Ruth is a Training Therapist, Training Analyst and Supervisor for a number of UKCP/BCP organizations.
Ruth was an Hon. Psychotherapist at the Royal London Hospital (2003-2012).
Ruth is Chair of the Confederation for Analytical Psychology (2011-2017 and 2022- ) (see www.confederation-an-psych.uk).

A Dangerous Method
On 11th February 2012, in her capacity as Chair of the Confederation for Analytical Psychology (CAP), Ruth chaired a one-day conference to coincide with the general release of David Cronenberg’s film, A Dangerous Method. The film is based on Christopher Hampton’s stage play of the same name, itself based on John Kerr’s A Most Dangerous Method, which is an exploration of the history of the early days of psychoanalysis and the relationships between Sigmund Freud, Carl Gustav Jung and Sabina Spielrein – who was a patient of both men, profoundly influenced their thinking, and became an analyst and child psychologist in her own right. CAP arranged for an exclusive private viewing of the film which was followed by discussion with six internationally renowned figures who are experts in their fields.
